About this lamp
In this lamp the glass is not a shade but the object itself. The amber swirls were turned into the smoked glass by hand, so no two pieces are alike.
Switched on, it gives a warm, honey-coloured light; switched off, it is a quiet piece of glass art. Free of chips and cracks.

The designer
Carlo Nason
A scion of one of Murano’s oldest glassblowing families. In the sixties and seventies he designed lamps for Mazzega in which the hand-blown glass itself seems to become the source of light.
